Granric MBI

Granric MBI is manufactured from high quality non-combustible flexible Glasswool insulation with an inert binder, which makes the product lightweight, safe and resilient. Granric MBI is faced on one side with a reinforced foil or white metalised foil.

Applications:

Commercial & Industrial roof insulation:

  • Over purlin installation (new buildings).
  • Between purlin installation (existing buildings).
  • Should not be installed in applications where the facing material is exposed to direct or indirect ultraviolet radiation.

Handling & Storage:

Store product under cover and in dry conditions. Store flat. Handle with care, especially on the edges and corners, ehich can be damanged if subject to sharp or heavy impact. Do not apply excessive pressure, for example by standing or sitting on the product, as permanent damage may be caused.

Durability:

  • Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard building materials and components.

  • Dust settlement will not hamper the products performance.

Tools needed for installation:

  • Straining wires.
  • G-clamps.
  • Galvanized hoop irons.
  • Pop rivets.
  • Drill.
  • Heavy duty staple gun.
  • 10 mm wire staples.

Installations Instructions:

  1. STEP 1: When installing the blanket in new buildings over purplins ensure that the straining wires are placed 300mm apart.
  2. STEP 2: Affix to the roof apex and unroll the blanket longitudinally taking out any slack and attach to the bottom purlin.
  3. STEP 3: To join the blankets fold up the overlapping foil edges and staple, fold the joinover and taple again.
  4. STEP 4: Caution to be excercised when installing in windy conditions.
